Wash and dry all produce. Prepare @onion{1}(finely chopped), @carrot{1}(diced), and @tomato{1}(diced).

Heat a large drizzle of @olive oil{2%tbsp} in a #medium pot{} over medium-high heat. Add @italian chicken sausage mix{2%links}; cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until browned and cooked through ~{5%minutes}. Transfer to a plate.

To the same pot over medium-high heat, add another drizzle of olive oil, onion, carrot, and a pinch of @salt{1%tsp} and @black pepper{1%tsp}. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly softened ~{3%minutes}. Stir in tomato, @tomato paste{2%tbsp}, @tuscan heat spice{1%tsp}, and half the @garlic powder{1%tsp}. Cook until fragrant ~{1%minute}. Stir in @cannellini beans{1%can} and their liquid, @chicken stock concentrate{1%unit}, and @water{3½%cup}. Cover pot and bring to a boil, then uncover and stir in cooked sausage. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until soup is slightly thickened ~{8%minutes}.

While soup simmers, heat broiler to high. In a #small bowl{}, stir remaining garlic powder into @butter{2%tbsp}(softened) until combined; season with a pinch of salt and pepper. -- TIP: If butter isn’t yet softened, microwave for 10-15 seconds.

Halve @ciabatta{1}(cut into triangles), then place cut sides up on a #baking sheet{} and spread with garlic butter. -- TIP: For easy cleanup, line baking sheet with aluminum foil first. Sprinkle with half the @parmesan cheese{½%cup}. Broil until golden brown ~{3%minutes}, watching carefully to avoid burning.

Taste soup and season generously with salt and pepper. -- TIP: If soup is too thick, add a splash or two of water. Divide soup between bowls and sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese. Serve with cheesy garlic ciabatta toasts on the side.
